One war monger honors another

SIERRA FREE PRESS
ONE WAR MONGER HONORS ANOTHER

Come on, fellow citizens of this republic: How much more of these murderous bandits are you going to take? On his News and comment radio show this morning, ABC Radio networks host Paul Harvey said “the media should put a stop” to labeling “women and children” killed in war as “civilians.” He said, “It was civilians, for goodness sake, who decapitated New York City.”
According to him, “Since the invention of the aerial bomb five wars ago, there have been no civilians.” In other words, innocent people who are killed in war are military combatants because they are victims of a military attack.
In 2005, Paul Harvey said the United States should use nuclear weapons in Afghanistan and Iraq. After recalling the use of atomic bombs during World War II, Harvey lamented that “we sent men with rifles into Afghanistan and Iraq and kept our best weapons in their silos.” He then warned of the dangers of “civilizing” ourselves too much that we won’t use weapons of mass destruction:
“We didn’t come this far because we’re made of sugar candy. Once upon a time, we elbowed our way onto and across this continent by giving smallpox-infected blankets to Native Americans. That was biological
warfare. And we used every other
weapon we could get our hands on to grab this land from whomever
And we grew prosperous. And yes, we greased the skids with the sweat of slaves. So it goes with most great nation-states, which — feeling guilty about their savage pasts — eventually civilize themselves out of business.”
And so, this great “Christian” is awarded a medal by our (your) president. Is this what this country has come to?

General S.D. Butler
Did you know that one of the most decorated Marine generals of all time wrote a book called WAR IS A RACKET?
General Butler comments:
“War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. How many of these war millionaires shouldered a rifle? How many of them dug a trench? How many of them knew what it meant to go hungry in a rat-infested dug-out? How many of them spent sleepless, frightened nights, ducking shells and shrapnel and machine gun bullets? How many of them parried a bayonet thrust of an enemy? How many of them were wounded or killed in battle?
"I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-12. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras "right" for American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I feel I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three city districts. We Marines operated on three continents."

HISTORY CLEANSED
I would like to ask why we don’t know about General Butler? Shouldn’t we know that he uncovered a plot by bankers and Wall Streeters to take over the Franklin Roosevelt White House? Shouldn’t we know that these bankers and militarists studied Mussolini and Hitler for ideas to be used here? Without this knowledge, young people will naively ask: “Why do so many people in the world hate us?”
Now, after more than 70 years, the international bankers and militarists have finally got their way. They have virtually no opposition. Money for war is plentiful. Money for infrastructure is scarce. One in four children in this country goes without medical care. In other countries this would be called child neglect.
While George Bush has the American public all incensed about unborn fetuses, fully developed babies and children are getting their limbs blown off in Iraq with not a peep from the press or the White House or the so-called Christians of this country. Indeed the big-mouthed fundamentalist are the scurviest of them all. They preach and prance and stand for nothing.
“I’m not concerned about him,” Bush has said. “I don’t think much about him.” Can it be Bush’s business ties to the Bin Ladens that makes him so uninterested in him?
Hello! Let’s get off our moral duffs! The Republicans and the Democrats are in this war-for-profit game together. We’re going to have to stop mesmerizing ourselves with TV, stop consuming and get out in the streets with other people and have some spine. Yes, we’ll have to get uncomfortable. (think of how uncomfortable Christ was) How long can we look the other way while innocent people are getting slaughtered with bullets paid for with our tax money?
There’s still time to save your integrity. After sacrificing thousands of lives and interfering in the affairs of a dozen countries for the profit of big companies like J.P. Morgan, Dupont and Wall Street investors, General Butler finally could no longer look the other way. He took all his evidence of an openly Fascist coup to the Congress, but to no avail. Like today, Congress was bought off. The newspapers sought to make Butler look like a fool. Congress was too afraid to tackle the Morgans et al. and the papers came to the Fascists’ rescue. The result is what we live with today. “V”
